The Mountains of Western NC were on fire this fall from the lack of rainfall. Normally the fall is usually pretty good for having some raining days…but not this year. It just stayed dry for most of the early autumn, and if it hadn’t been for the hurricane in October, we would have went longer. Here is a photo from the wildfires on South Mountain State Park.
