Vintage Railroading…

May 8th, 2014

…I recently was able to obtain some old photographs from the area where I grew up in Missouri. With a lot of help from my friend Archie Hayden, I was able to make sure I documented the locations and what the photos were about so you can enjoy them with plenty of information. I love this photo of a Chicago, Burlington and Quincy locomotive pouring on the coal on it’s 65 mile trip south to St Louis, in 1948. You really get the impression of the power and chaos of a steam locomotive. To see the new photos, click here…there are 3 pages (the small numbers at the lower right of the screen).
