…one of the things I didn’t update last year was some visits to some great airshows…the Winston Salem Airshow, and the Warbirds over Monroe. Both are very good, and both have some nice flying displays. So to see the full bunch of photos from the shows, click here, and then you can continue through the pages (numbers on the lower right-hand portion of the screen). There is a page and a half of new photos.

As well, created a new video with exerpts from all the airshows, set to Alan Parson’s Re-Jigue. Enjoy!

Getting Steamed…

April 9th, 2014

The Norfolk Southern Railroad is continuing their steam excursions this year, and one of the first ones was from Bristol, TN, to Radford, VA this last weekend. The trip was fun, the weather very nice (if a little cold) and the Southern 2-8-0 #630 was running well. You can see the best photos in this album.

I want to give a shout out to the Wytheville Municiple Police department (Wytheville, VA). They were very supportive of responsible railfans, interested and helpful. They were very polite and assisted those who were in town to view the locomotive. If you stop in Wytheville as a railfan, make sure you thank one of the men in blue!

As well, here is the video from the event…
